A standard slug from a Mussburg 12 guage pump action shotgun pierced the interior wall of a Tatoo Shop in Branson Thursday, September 14 2007.
The shot was fired at 2:00 A.M by tattoo artist Leonard Midgett from St. Robert Missouri.
The sound of the gunshot was more akin to a small arm weapon or bb gun rather than the piercing sound of a 57 Cadillac firing.
Midgett, a proud descendant of Blackbeard, was arrested by the Branson police department categorized the incident as a domestic assault. The Taney County Prosecutor, Jeff Merrill, promptly filed charges after Branson police officers took Midgett into custody on charges for illegally discharging a firearm during a domestic dispute.
The arrest was made three hours after the initial shot was fired.
Earlier in the evening, the same weapon was used to clear out the shop after a small gathering mixing, pirate descendant’s and competing tattoo artists thought it a good idea to demonstrate skill in greco-roman wresting.
After Midgett's favorite sculpture broke, an 18 inch ceramic rattlesnake with a magnet powered moving tail – shattered - Midgett asked everyone to leave while demonstrating his weapon. The champion wrestler, a skinhead celebrated for his grappling skills continued to provoke Midgett - taunting him to shoot.
Approximately 20 minutes after the room cleared Midgett discharged the slug into the northside entrance of Artistic Armour Tattoo Shop on 718 South Commercial street in Branson.
Midgett's lover was standing two feet to the right at the time the shotgun fired. She stated that she won't be filing charges nor was the weapon pointed at a person when Midgett pulled the trigger.

The photo was taken Saturday morning at Artistic Armour Tattoo. Since the bullet hole was quickly spackled a pencil sketch was made shading the hole the bullet went through.)
