Bobby Cutts was found guilty of aggravated murder of an unborn child just a few minutes ago. The mother of the child,Jessie Davis, was carrying the child of Cutts at the time of death.
The Canton, Ohio jury found Cutts innocent of aggravated murder of the mother and guilty of aggravated murder of the child which Davis was carrying. The verdict may result in the death penalty at sentencing.
The case is historic because the rights of the unborn child will be tested by the Ohio judiciary. The determination that violently terminating the life of an unborn child and a resulting death sentence promises to challenge the very definition of life.
Other states such as California have similar laws on the books.
