The Branson Landing opened with a bang but growth of the lakefront shopping center on Taneycomo Lake in downtown Branson has slowed considerably to the concern of shop owners.
A group of merchants met earlier this month to consolidate interests for a collective bargaining approach to negotiating with Branson Landing management. The group hopes to liberalize policies, increase marketing efforts and promote policies friendlier to merchants.
Willy Theisen, retired founder of Godfather's Pizza and owner of Famous Dave's at the Branson Landing is leading the charge and will arrive in Branson this week to address HCW and Urban Retail, the company responsible for managing the outdoor mall.
