Branson Patriarch Lloyd Presley Passes

KY3, a financial partner of the Presley family, produced the video and published memorial information posted below:
ranson music pioneer, Lloyd Presley, passed away Saturday afternoon. Presley was one of the founding members of Presleys' Country Jubilee in Branson along with his family.

Lloyd was born in Brighton and picked up the bass at age 10. He met his wife, Bessie, at the bumper car rides at Doling Park in the '40s. By 1967, his family moved to Branson and together created the first theatre on Highway 76.

Lloyd played with his three-generations of family at Presley's Country Jubilee until last year. In recent years, many loved hearing Presley sing George Jones' "I Don't Need Your Rockin' Chair."

A kind, caring man who loved to fish, Lloyd Presley will be missed by many. Lloyd's daughter-in-law Raeanne Presley says her family deeply appreciates the prayers from the fans, and that the family takes peace in knowing that he is "singin' in heaven."

Presley was 86 years old.

Visitation is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Branson's Tri-Lakes Center at 2527 Highway 248. Presley's funeral will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m. also at the Tri-Lakes Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Skaggs Community Health Center Foundation, in memory of Lloyd Presley.
