It's one of a three project being handed over to Hilton management, the Hilton Promenade is here. A spokesperson from the Hilton noted it's the first freestanding Convention Center any hotel Chain has ever managed and will serve as a pilot for the company. The buildings are owned by HCW who will be pitching the city of Tulsa,OK to engage a similar project later this week. The process for the Tulsa project has been in the works for a couple of months, at least publicly.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was marked by Hilton corporate staff, local staff business leaders, government officials and the Branson High School Band. The hotel is now open and has acquired 80% occupancy this weekend. Even the most modest rooms have a standalone shower and the view of the fountain and Lake Taneycomo is the best in town.
The tavern on the ground floor has a table made from the controversial "Liberty Tree" cut down at the beginning of the Landing project.
