Mayor Lou Schaefer may have an easier time being re-elected than earlier thought. As noted in a previous post the spelling of the Mayor's name could provide a challenge. Good news for Lou though; Missouri election law holds the standard of counting a name on a ballot as "intent". If it's determined that a voter intends to cast a ballot for a candidate then the vote for the candidate will still count whether or not the spelling is correct.
