Warrant Issued After Woman Found Slain From Gunshot Wounds in Branson Hotel

Thomas Phillip Brown - Wanted for Murder
BRANSON, Mo. -An arrest warrant has been issued for  68-year-old Thomas Phillip Brown after his wife was found dead from bullet wounds inflicted in room 182 of the  Ramada Resort and Conference center on Branson's 76 Strip.

The probable cause statement used to issue the arrest warrant revealed  Marilyn Brown, Thomas Brown's wife checked into the hotel room as temporary shelter on Feb. 21, 2013 after being displaced from their residence.

The Brown's recently relocated from  Palm Springs, Calif. and according to one family member against Thomas Brown's will. A hotel housekeeper  found Marilyn Brown on Feb., 24 2013. Digital keys log no other entry to the room except for Thomas Brown's keycard..

Thomas Brown is "known to carry a firearm" and has worked as a security guard in the past. He is likely to be traveling with the family dog in a  blue Dodge Durango California License Plate # 5WR-F678.

I, E. James Morrow, a law enforcement officer with the Branson Police Department, Taney County,
Missouri, upon my oath and under penalties of perjury, state as follows:
I have probable cause to believe that THOMASPHILLIPBROWNDOB:04/0S/1944,SSN:

The criminal offenses occurred on or about the dates ofFebgruary 21st, to February 24th at Ramada
Resort Room #182 1700 W State Hwy 76, Branson, Taney County, Missouri.
The facts supporting this belief are as follows:
Thomas Phillip Brown committed the class A Felony of First Degree Murder by knowingly causing the
death of victim M.J.B. after deliberation of the matter. The facts which support this are as follows:
Thomas Phillip Brown and victim MJ.B. recently moved to Branson from Palm Springs California. It
was learned through our investigation from Brown's daughter; Thomas Phillip Brown did not wish to
move to Branson area. Brown was forced to live out of motel rooms due to being displaced from the
place they had planned to reside. On February 21st Thomas Phillip Brown checked into Room 182 with
victim MJ.B. Thomas Phillip Brown was the only one registered to room 182. An investigation of the
door lock indicated no other access was gained to the room besides the card holders of room 182 and
staff of the hotel from February 21st to February 24th upon discovery of the crime. On February 24th at
1331 hrs. the victim was found by motel staff deceased in her bed with a gunshot wound. Dr. Keith
Norton stated the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
Thomas Phillip Brown is known to possess a firearm and has been employed as a Security Officer in the
past. The room showed no signs of struggle; the family pet, the blue Dodge Durango, and the personal
property of Thomas Phillip Brown were missing from the scene. The Dodge Durango was the only
mode of transportation for Thomas Phillip Brown and M.J.B.
