Join us as we welcome MIDNIGHT – a six piece horn band that has been performing in the Chicago area for years.  This group consists of five vocalists and musicians that play multiple instruments, including the Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Drums, Keyboards, Bass and Guitar.  Having performed at hundreds of events and in some of the Chicago area premier venues, this will be one concert you won’t want to miss! With musical influences by Chicago, Jimmy Buffet, Bruce Springsteen, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Beatles, Blues Brothers, Van Morison, Frank Sinatra, Styx, Steely Dan, Elvis, Eagles and more – it will be a night full of favorites that will not soon be forgotten.   Mark your calendars for this Saturday night concert at 8pm on August 14th in front of the beautiful Branson Landing fountains.

Going to Seed
This is THE event for people interested, engaged, and involved with the Transition Movement, Well Fed Neighbor, food security issues, farming, gardening, and conservation. All levels of expertise are welcome to participate! New gardeners to experienced seed saving multi-generational farmers encouraged! We are delighted to have as our special presenting guest for Going to Seed none other than Joel Salatin, a 3rd generation alternative farmer from Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, and featured in the documentaries “Food, Inc.” and “Fresh”. Friday- opening session on Bioregion Restoration. After lunch, we will enjoy several educational sessions on seed saving and germination. Saturday's schedule will include a presentation from Les Squires of Transition US, followed by Salatin on a wide range of topics. This special event includes 3 night hotel lodging at the award-winning Howard Johnson Branson, a Welcome reception Thursday night, Breakfast each day and lunch on Friday and Saturday.

Fourth Annual Bikers & Babes at the Beach
7th Annual Moonlight Bike Ride
Saturday, August 21, 8:00 pm
Ride with your family and friends under the street lights and by the light of the moon through the streets of Springfield.  Must have a helmet and headlight to ride.  Party in the parking lot starts at 8:00pm. This includes live band, Jump Mania, Springfield Astronomical Society in the parking lot.  Line up bikes at 9:15pm and the Bike ride starts at 9:30pm.  Village Inn Pancakes at the end of the ride. Pre-register cost is $20 adults (15+) and Youth $15 (age 3-14). 2nd Annual Guns and Hoses Fishing Tournament
Saturday, August 21, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Lilleys' Landing Resort & Marina is hosting the 2nd Annual Guns and Hoses Fishing Tournament on August 21st from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds go to the Branson Fire and Police auxiliary funds to help support our community. The entry fee is $75 and prizes will be awarded for 1st through 3rd places and big fish. To register your two-man team email Megan@lilleyslanding.com for an entry form.  
Ozarks Teen Challenge Golf Tournament 2010

Admission includes: 4-person scramble, golf cart, gift bags, hole-in-one contest, prizes, silent auction and lunch from Chick-fil-A All proceeds will benefit Ozarks Teen Challenge, the 15-month residential program for boys ages 12-17 struggline with addictions and other life-controlling issues. Crazy Quilting Retreat
This Retreat features 3 outstanding, nationally known quilting instructors coming together in Branson to teach the art of quilting embellishment and embroidery. Attendees will receive hands-on instruction from Betty Pillsbury who will teach “Crazy Embroidery" techniques. Jim Gatling will present a comprehensive session on embellishments, and Kathy Kansier will teach, "Creating a Victorian Purse". This retreat includes 4 nights lodging in your own private room at the marvelous Howard Johnson hotel in the heart of Branson, MO, breakfast and lunch each day as well as a Thursday evening Welcome reception with wine and appetizers. 3 full days of quilting instruction (a 6 hour class each day, Friday-Sunday).

The 22nd Annual Downtown Branson Fiddle Festival & Mid-American Fiddlers Championship

The 22nd Downtown Branson Fiddle Festival encompasses ALL of the Downtown area which includes the Historic Area and the modern neighbor Branson Landing. The contest with prelims on Saturday and finals on Sunday will be held at Branson Landing “On the Banks of Lake Taneycomo”  Branson Landing will also sponsor a “Big Kick Off” on Friday night with a “BIG SMITH” concert at 8:00pm FRIDAY 8/27 Kick off at Branson Landing with “BIG SMITH” Performing at 8:00pm in front of the fountains. SATURDAY 8/28 9:00am-6:00pm in the streets of Historic Downtown: Vendors, Entertainment, Food, Children’s Area, Seminars and Demonstrations. Prelims 10:00 am-6:00pm at the Branson Landing SQUARE DANCE in the streets of Historic Downtown 7:00pm-10:00pm SUNDAY 8/29 Gospel Celebration 10:00 am Finals 12:00pm-5:00pm at Branson Landing 9:am-4:00pm in the streets of Historic Downtown: Vendors, Entertainment, Food, Children’s Area, Seminars FREE Trolley service to both locations! The Festival will be held in the Historic District which has hosted the event for 22 years! In Historic Downtown Branson we will offer Arts and Craft Vendors, Community Sponsors, Food Vendors a Children’s Area with pony rides, inflatable and crafts for the kids! Entertainment all day Saturday and Sunday and a genuine Square Dance on Saturday night beginning at 7:00pm. Fiddling seminars and other events will be held in the “Ozarks Music and Heritage Tent” located in the Historic District seminars will include guitar seconding, fiddle making, swing fiddling, cross tuning and square and round dancing to name a few.  On Sunday we will offer a Gospel Jamboree at the Branson Landing with long time favorite pastor Bob Hubbard. Traditional music performers will be prominently featured throughout the weekend on the street corners of the Historic District, and we will also have sidewalk sales, and a special “Show Me Your Fiddle” promotion offering special discounts to fiddle players of all ages. There will be special appearances at both locations by some of the best of our Branson’s outstanding professional entertainers. Many of these musicians competed as youngsters in earlier Branson fiddle contests.  So Much Music, So Much Fun, So Much to see and do and the price? FREE to all!
Big Smith - Live in Concert

Whether performing in front of electrifying crowds of 8,000 plus at outside events like the Muncie, Indiana’s Mardi-Gras or the Indianapolis Colts Pre-Game Party, this band is always on.  Comprised of some of the finest musicians in Central Indiana, this band promises to amaze all with their spirited stage presence, dynamic musicianship and their known trademark … the always hot and always energetic…horn section! Currently in their ninth year together, these musicians have a sound and energy all their own and they are bringing it to Branson Landing.  So…mark you calendars for Sunday, September 5th and join us for an unforgettable evening with The Souled Out Band – performing right in front of the Branson Landing Fountains.

Branson Ducks Salute To Veterans
Salute the men and women who fought for freedom and the historic DUKW on this patriotic adventure! Celebrate the red, white and blue with our star-spangled land and water adventure as we salute America’s amazing service men and women.  See the Ozarks riding an amphibious vehicle based on the famous WWII DUKW design.  Quack along to patriotic music and see historic military vehicles as your US Coast Guard licensed Captain shares stories of the brave men who boarded these vehicles in WWII to serve the USA and the women, like Rosie the Riveter, who helped build them.  An amphibian travels on land and water and you’ll experience that excitement as you head right into the lake for a Splashdown.  You can even drive if you want as we salute America’s veterans.

Professional athletes will be competing for a $25,000 prize purse. The course will include a 1.2-mile swim in Table Rock Lake followed by a 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run.
